An Introduction to Geography / SOUTH AMERICA

... in the northern section of South America, forming a land of more than 3.000 {1} square miles.

3.5-5 - THE FORMER INT'L RESERVE OF AMAZON FOREST

Since the middle 80's the most important rain forest of the world was passed to the reponsability {2} of the United States and the United Nations. It is named as {3} FINRAF (Former International Reserve of Amazon Forest) and its foundation was due to the fact {4} the Amazon is located in South America, one of the poorest regions on earth {5} and surrounded by irresponsable {6}, cruel and authoritary countries. It was part of eight different and strange countries, which are in the majority of cases, kingdoms of violence, drug trade, illiteracy and a {7} unintelligent and primitive people.

The creation of FINRAF were {8} supported by all nations of G-23 and was really a special mission of our country and a gift of all the world, since the possession of these valuable lands to such primitive countries and people could comdemn the lungs of the world to disappearance and full destroying in few years.

We can consider that this area has the most biodiversity {9} in the planet, with a vast number of species of all types of animals and vegetals {10}. The value of this area is unable to calcule {11}, but the planet can be cert {12} that The United States won't let these Latin American countries explorate {13} and destroy this real ownership {14} of all humanity {15}.

FINRAF is like an international park, with very severe rules of exploration.

LEGENDA DO MAPA:

map 2.5-5.1 {16} - We can see the location of the International Reserve. It took area of eight South America's {17} countries: Brazil, Bolivia, Peru, Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana, Suriname and F. Guyana. Some of the poorest and miserable countries of the world.

1.  "3.000 square miles" - Usou ponto para separar milhar
2.  "passed to the responsability" -- Não se usa o termo e o certo é "responsibility" com "i".
3.  "is named as FINRAF" -- Não se usa o "as".
4.  "due to the fact the Amazon" -- Seria "the fact that the Amazon".
5.  "earth" -- Usa-se com maiúscula: Earth.
6.  "irresponsable" - O certo é irresponsible, com "i".
7.  "a unintelligent" -- O certo é "an".
8.  "the creation of FINRAF were" - O certo é "was".
9.  "has the most biodiversity" - Errado.
10. "vegetals" -- Pouco usado.
11. "unable to calcule" -- Construção errada, seria "impossible to calculate".
12. "be cert" -- Tradução grosseira. Certo seria "be sure", "be certain".
13. "explorate" -- Verbo errado, seria "explore".
14. "ownership" -- Termo mal empregado.
15. "humanity" -- Pouco usado, prefere-se "mankind".
16. "map 2.5-5.1" -- A seção é 3.5-5
17. "eight South America's countries" -- Seria "South American countries".
